Reported via mobile in the Obstruction (Not Vegetation) category anonymously at 14:59, Wed 21 October 2020 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2351287.

I live on 6 kelvin Grove and i am constantly have to struggle with getting in and out of my drive because of the cars that come to the shops and leave their cars parked on my street near the entrance in my drive. Beside of that at times it's very difficult 4 me to use my drive and in am constantly late at work. There is already a sign on my street saying no parking allowed during the day but no body respect this. Can you please help. Kind regards, Leon Botu

  • Thank you for your enquiry. It appears that the location has no restrictions to prevent parking so we only have limited powers. However, cases of wilful obstruction where there is clear evidence of causing danger of obstruction to persons, property and/or deemed not possible for drivers to safely manoeuvre, pedestrians to pass unhindered along the footway or that access to public or private property is impeded, can be reported to Northamptonshire Police Safer Communities Team on the non-emergency number of 101 or by following the link on the Northamptonshire Police website in the first instance. It may also help to look at Northamptonshire County Council guidance on obstruction of driveways which may be able to assist you. https://www.northamptonshire.gov.uk/ councilservices/ northamptonshire-highways/ parking/ Pages/ obstruction-of-driveways.aspx
