No footpath

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction (Not Vegetation) category by John Thomason at 20:52, Saturday 24 October 2020

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2355843.

There is a footpath leading to this point, but once you cross over the M1 exit road (which is dangerous because you cannot see round the hedge) there is no footpath for 10metres, then there is a footpath across the bridge, and then another badly maintained footpath. The traffic is very fast at the entrance and exit roads, and a cyclist or pedestrian needs clear visibility. It is unfortunate that there are new roadworks either side of the Junction 16, and lots of new footpaths, but the footpaths over the most dangerous part are in very bad condition. I guess this is because the new roadworks are not responsible for the junction, but they have made it very dangerous with lots of temporary road signs, so they should be responsible.
