Request for SPEED BUMPS to be located along PUXLEY ROAD.

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2355997.

Traffic traveling to FAST ,used as a "rat run ", many people old and young walk along this road .

  • Thank you for your enquiry. I do appreciate the concerns you raised, however the overriding factor concerning this particular location is that there is no recorded collision history, clearly we do not want this to change, but every section of road network represents a risk to one road user or another and our policy, which we successfully adopted some years ago, has always been to direct funding to where it is most needed using an evidence led, collision data approach. This ensures that our limited funding streams are utilised on interventions where we can identify a rate of return in terms of reduced road casualties. Therefore we have no plans for any traffic calming on Puxley Road.
