The farmer has ploughed and now drilled the public footpath originally reported 29 September why not reinstated?

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2360854.

This very much used footpath is a quagmire when raining, whereas it used to be grassed and decent to walk on. Winter is now here and it will only get worse. Please make the farmer reinstate this path. The farmer has had since mid=September to rectify this.

  • Thanks for reporting this a site visit has been made and this field has always been arable and would be expected to be very muddy in the winter months, at this time of year it is only expected of the land owner to ensure that there is a line marked across the field by way or marker canes or tractor wheeling to indicate where the path goes. looking at the path it is evidence of where the path goes so there is no further action required at present until the crop starts to grow further and then the landowner is required to clear the crops from the path to a width of 1 metre wide.
