Trees on The Arbours, Northampton
Reported via mobile in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 13:11, Tue 3 November 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2369237.
There is a line of trees that runs parallel to the Lumbertubs Way (A43) and behind the back gardens of properties in Rickyard Road. Around properties numbers 25, 26 etc The trees take up virtually all the space between the gardens and the dual carriageway. Presumably to shield some of the traffic noise. The trees are very overgrown and overhang gardens blocking out light from gardens and the houses. Residents say that no maintenance has been carried out on these trees in recent years. I believe however that a condition survey of the trees was carried out at the end of last. Some trees have shed branches in recent storms. Residents are concerned about the loss of light, possible damage from branches and the trees undermining garden walls.
