Vegetation obstructing pavement

Reported via desktop in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 20:56, Tue 17 November 2020

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2392947.

The entrance to the track opposite the Pastures Community Centre is obstructed by overgrown vegetation. I have reported to this to NBC, but they have responded that they are unable to take any action as the trespassing are on private property. Full response as follows: The trees that are overhanging the Welford Road are from private land and are not within our contractor’s maintenance plans. The footpath they run along is not an adopted highway. However, they are obstructing the main Welford Road path which is adopted highway, this can be reported via the Northamptonshire County Council’s street doctor. As the highway authority, they may be able to assist in approaching the landowner to prune them back. Unfortunately, this is not a matter that we are able to assist with.
