Flooding on Bozenham Mill Lane by the Grand Union Canal Bridge out Grafton Regis - pooling water
Reported via desktop in the Flooding category anonymously at 12:09, Fri 20 November 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2397234.
On Bozenham Mill Lane by the bridge that crosses the Grand Union Canal there is a large amount of flooding and pooling water as there is no drainage along this road. This is a recurrent issue because all the water from Grafton Regis will run down this road and will then pool as there is no where for it to drain. Due to pooling/flood water drivers will drive on the embankments/ditches to avoid it which makes the road become very muddy and is dangerous to road users, especially cyclists or motorcyclists. The issue needs to be investigated with a view to put in appropriate drainage to cope with the water. At present the whole carriageway is flooded, as there is no drainage and water is running down the verges to the humpback bridge and pooling.
