Multiple potholes where road splits on Thorn Close
Reported via mobile in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 10:52, Mon 23 November 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2400993.
There are 6-8 potholes where the road splits outside 25 Thorn Close. 2-3 of these are deep and are getting worse with the bad weather. There was an accident on this junction at the weekend caused by the poor road surface. The main pothole at the top of the photo (single photo also) is over 2 inches deep and residents have to swerve to avoid it as it will cause damage to your vehicle. The whole surface at this junction is generally quite poor and needs to be repaired urgently please.
The main reason why the road is in such a poor state is due to the speed that some travel up and down the road. If there are any traffic calming measures you could put in place, such as signage, this would be appreciated. My property directly faces on to this junction and my fear is, if it is not repaired, a vehicle will end up in my front garden or worse in the front of my house.
Thank you in advance.
