Failed surface to footpath and council-owned driveway access over verge
Reported via desktop in the Pothole / Failed Reinstatement category anonymously at 12:16, Mon 23 November 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2401236.
The surface to access our driveway including where it crosses the pedestrian footpath has completely failed in the last twelve months and is in a dangerous and unsightly condition (cracked, crumbling and partly covered in slippery moss). We would like to address the issue as it represents a danger to pedestrians and vehicles alike and will only deteriorate still further through the winter months. It looks like the whole area needing repair may fall under local authority responsibility but we would be happy to discuss if it partly overlaps with our boundary.
Thank you for reporting a fault. We will use the information you have provided to assess and prioritise this fault in accordance with our published response times for fault reports.

Thank you for your enquiry. We have raised a works order to repair the defects that you have reported. These works will be undertaken within the next 6 months. On most occasions we are repairing defects of this nature sooner than this target date, however please do not hesitate to contact us should the defects worsen so that our team can carry out a further assessment, attaching a photograph if possible and safe to do so. Please note that the section between gate and wall is privately owned and cannot be maintained by highways.
