40mph speed limit illuminating sign is not working.

Reported via desktop in the Damaged / Missing / Facing Wrong Way category anonymously at 08:36, Wed 25 November 2020

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2404241.

The trigger for the 40mph illuminating speed limit sign is concealed by overgrown foliage. Needs trimming back. Sign needs checking to ensure it gets triggered by speeding vehicles through the village. Sign is quite dated technology and may need replacing. Sign in question may be a little further north along the A605 towards The Fox than indicated on the map. It is on the LHS travelling north.

  • The 40mph illuminating sign trigger is still partially covered by foliage. Cars continue to travel in excess of the 40mph speed limit through Thorpe Waterville which can make it dangerous pulling pull out of Aldwincle Road onto the A605. Please review.
