Dangerous potholes and highway damage

Reported via mobile in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 07:30, Thu 26 November 2020

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2405819.

I was informed that the first three metres off the highway is maintained by the highways agency. The strip across my drive is now severely damaged with ruts and potholes , which create a very dangerous situation when turning off the highway and cause front wheels of vehicles to sit in the rut pushing the cars front end into the road . Would you please take a look for me and advise if you would repair the top part, it was actually made worst last time the highway was resurfaced , as the created the rut, which has now become very large Many thanks for all your work Ian Critchlow

  • Hi there The problem has got much worse over the winter, it now means vehicles have to almost stop to turn off the road, which is extremely dangerous , as cars travel along the A5199 at considerable speed on some occasions . Would it be possible to prioritise this repair in any way ? Thanks for your help

  • Hi there Is there a date planned yet to carry out a repair to the first 3 metres off the road at the top of my drive, the potholes have caused damaged to two vehicles as a result of having to turn off a busy road straight into a pothole , it’s now become extremely dangerous for other car owners trying to pass turning vehicles , whilst they can only pass the entrance at 5mph maximum because of the deep ruts
