No spinning cone or beep to know when to cross

This traffic light crossing does not have an audible beep or spinning cone to know when to cross. This is dangerous for those with either a visual impairment or hearing impairment and would benefit from both if possible.

  • Thank you for your report. We are not allowed by Law to have any audio on a dual signal as this can cause confusion when a person hears the audio of the other lamps. We will send an engineer to check regarding the lack of a tactile.

  • Engineer has attended site and checked operation of all tactile units. There are no bleepers installed at this location due to this being a dual crossing point where either crossing can operate at different times.
