thank you for contacting the County Council regarding the works on Niort way . I have been advised that a road Safety audit has been carried out on the works and has not indicated a concern with the lighting at night, however additional directional signage has been recommended to help drivers determine the correct lane to be in for the new layout and we are in discussions with the developer about implementing this.

I'd like to know who did the safety audit!! Its terrible especially in the dark, it will only take for someone to clip the curb of the island and it could potentially cause a really bad accident, my neighbour who works at park Farm refuses to drive down niort now due to this bit of road, she ends up going straight over park Farm round about and past medway and then left onto gleneagles drive. Terrible design.
