Hi,
This is now so bad it’s dangerous, especially for those on 2 wheels....the hole is nearly 6” deep and if not already will cause damage to vehicles wheels and tracking. This issue rears its ugly head every 12 months and the substandard repairs do not last. It has that many repairs on top of each other it’s embarrassing.

Entering the roundabout from the M1 and exiting on the 3rd exit
My vehicle is dropping down a severe drop of circa 6"".
My vehicle is being damaged every time I visit the roundabout.
This is fixed annually which also needs to be investigated why the tarmac repairs aren't lasting.

Thank you for the update but to say work will be undertaken in the next 26 weeks (6 months) is both negligent and downright dangerous!

Honestly this is nothing short of a disgrace. Every year it’s the same, botched repairs on the cheap. Every person who drives over that section of road is damaging their car which the council is liable for. Immediate action is needed. Heavy HGVs are the issue, the road simply isn’t up to the level of pressure that it is under!!!!
We pay huge council taxes. Please use the money to fix this!!!!!!

I to thought 26 weeks was a long time , 6 weeks ago . Must be getting the correct materials this time and not a cheap fix, if a motorcyclist comes round , they will be off . .

Just reporting same problem. It is causing damage to my car everytime we go round this roundabout and I am concerned another accident will occur on this place. It needs a proper repair and not just filling in as has been the case for last few repairs. Many thanks.

With the lorry’s going to the industrial site, it’s getting worst by the day!!! Feels like it gets temporary fixed twice a year, yet most of the time there is always some sort of damage throughout the year. This needs to be fixed properly to meet the demands of the traffic and avoid having to be fix on a regularly basis!

This is becoming worse each day, the numbers of HGV’s that use this roundabout is significant as they enter the Eldon Way industrial estate and they are causing further damage. Significant damage to vehicles, especially motor vehicles & motorcycles is very likely, and the risk of a serious injury accident is very likely if left in the current state. NCC you have a duty of care to prioritise this incident.

A 26 week turnaround is unacceptable. The state of the road is a disgrace & is extremely dangerous. A long term fix is needed immediately. We pay exorbitant council tax fees plus road tax & would expect a more timely response. Please fix ASAP to prevent accidents & vehicle damage.

It is not acceptable to wait 26 weeks for this to be repaired. Several vehicle tyres have already been severely damaged, and it is only a matter of time until a person is seriously injured. Please repair it adequately so the same faults are not experienced every few months. The road has a high number of HGV’s and unfortunately it is not fit for purpose.

Pot whole has become so dangerous I’m having to either slow right down which is not safe to do on a round about or actually take a detour to get home to avoid an accident or damage to my car from driving on it. Needs to be fixed ASAP before a bad accident happens - already enough damage done to cars!

This is becoming dangerous. People who are unfamiliar with the roundabout come across this “hole” in the road, break hard. I have witnessed two cars and a lorry turning right and a car going straight and everyone bunches up - going forward this is a hazard. Secondly I do a longer detour to avoid damage to my vehicle which I doubt supports the councils environmental approach. This must be fixed by latest March ‘21.

This is becoming seriously dangerous with cars having to slow down on a roundabout to avoid damages to tyres and cars. Please look at this ASAP before someone gets hurt - car damage is one thing but this is putting people at risk!

With regards to this.. I personally have damaged my car and seen plenty of cyclists have to avoid the area, therefore, putting themselves into danger.

An accident is waiting to happen as vehicles are swerving to miss the pot holes, not only do I feel at risk when driving around the roundabout... I was out walking the dog yesterday and a car nearly hit us as it almost mounted the pavement to avoid the pot holes.

This is absolutely shambolic, the time frame given in which to get this death trap fixed is appalling. I go this way every morning for work, will Northamptonshire Council pay my bill when my tyre burst? I doubt that highly, considering the amount of traffic on this road not to mention the amount of lorries, you'd hope it'd be treated as a priority. When there is an accident, we need to hold them accountable! shame.
