Gate too difficult to open on horseback

Weight and stiff latch with narrow access makes this difficult to operate from horseback. Opens onto busy road so not safe to dismount & remount

  • Thank you for your enquiry. A site visit has been carried out and I can confirm that the gate and the weight were found to be in an acceptable condition. Minor clearance works were carried out on site to clear a small amount of overhanging vegetation. Works have also been instructed for a new latch to be installed on the gate within the next 6 months.
