We can confirm the works order raised is to topsoil and seed the verge. We do not install timber bollards in verges to stop parking. The fence that has been referred to isn’t on adopted highway land. Therefore, for any alterations, you would need to speak to the adjacent private landowner about it being repaired or being replaced. It is outside Northamptonshire Highways’ control.

We understand that you have been in contact with the Customer Service Centre at West Northamptonshire Council and wish to have further clarification provided, relating to your issues, on our Street Doctor platform. We understand that you have had a telephone conversation with the Area Manager responsible for overseeing highways maintenance in this location. They have advised that they explained our position regarding this matter and offered to meet you, on site, which we understand you declined. They also advised that whilst we will repair the grass verge, we are unable to install timber bollards. Furthermore, the damaged fence you have mentioned is not on adopted land and there are no safety issues present. Therefore, to escalate that matter further, if you are unhappy with how it looks; you will need to speak to the private landowner, it’s not within our jurisdiction to tell someone to repair their fence. We apologise that we are unable to assist further.
