Please note this was not reported as a weed problem. The grips (channels) in the verges are blocked, the ditch is blocked and this leads to flooding and debris on the road causing a serious safety issue. This road along with several others in Thorpe Mandeville require serious maintenance, please see other recent reports nearby.

Once more the road is awash because the ditchs are blocked. It is over 3 weeks since this was reported and nothing has been done, it has not even been looked at. This is not a case of weeds but of blocked drainage due to lack of maintenance by the highways.

Site to be inspected w/c 08 February

There is also a problem with standing water on the footway in front of nos 10 and 11 the Warren in Thorpe Mandeville village. It would be sensible to inspect that problem at the same time. During wet weather the residents are actually unable to walk across from their drive to the road due to flooding. I believe there will be a separate report on this problem but it seems obvious to see both sites whilst in the area.

We live at no 10 the Warren at Thorpe Mandeville and when it rains the road does flood quite a lot as there is no drainage as per photo. You can't access the drive on foot and we have to walk to no 11 or 9 to get to our house. I know that it already has been reported by a Janet ormand. Obviously something needs to be done as it's been like this since we moved in 2 years ago. Thank you.

The site was to be inspected wc Feb 1st, then wc Feb 8th, now it's in 10 days which presumably is actually 2 weeks. This was reported as urgent on Jan 6th how much longer do we have to put up with water flowing down Townsend lane and into the village?

Just an update today Tuesday 16th of February. Taken another photo to update the previous one as I'm was led to believe the site was inspected when it was dry and the water had eventually disappeared, only to say that there was nothing to investigate. But someone needs to visit like today when we have had rain, because if anyone has to come to the door from the road they can't.

Another photo taken this morning after only a couple of hours of rain. It needs sorting as it's not going away.
