The ‘elephant trap’ (cattle grid style ) was inundated with flood water and debri on 23/24 December 2020

The trap worked to collect stones, rocks and debri from entering the village during the recent deluge, but now needs clearing ahead of the next heavy rains please.

  • The village continues to be at risk of flooding due to the ongoing rain. It is crucial that this trap is cleared to protect residents lower down in the village. Some West Street houses experienced flooding in late December and we need everything possible to be done to prevent this happening again please. Thank you.
