  • On Saturday night I was driving down this road and hit an extremely large pothole, bursting my tire and damaging my rim, possibly damaging my suspension too. I am still waiting for a quote from my garage, in the mean time could I please have some details on who to contact.

  • This morning at about 05.45 this morning I hit this large deep pothole tearing the sidewall of my front tyre ruining it. Really annoying as the tyre was new only weeks ago.

  • At around 1930 today (20 Jan 2021) I hit this huge pothole (could not see it) and it instantly burst my tyre which had to be changed on the roadside in the dark while I was trying to get to work. Please can you advise who to contact as this tyre is only a few weeks old and we don’t know yet if the alloy is also damaged and will need to be replaced. Very upset and can’t afford this.

  • Driving home on Wednesday (21/01) night hit this pot hole and it has damaged my alloy causing my tyre to go flat instantly, I now have to pay for a new alloy.

  • Driving along the A6 on the southbound side I hit a large pothole and split my front offside tyre. I notice you have already been informed of this road hazard as it is marked on the map. Shame you didn't do anything about it. Invoice on it's way to you. Glyn Harry incident happened on the 20/01/0021, reported on 21/01/2021

  • Just logged on to report 3 really large potholes, by layby on Liberty way behind Rugby club. Hit one of them yesterday. Lucky not to be in the garage now. I can see several people have already logged the same holes.

  • Massive deep hole that caused my tyre to explode and buckled my wheel

Posted anonymously at 19:10, Thursday 21 January 2021

  • Driving home last night in the dark at hit this pothole going southbound and have punctured both offside tyres. I now have to get both tyres replaced and am also awaiting an assessment on whether both alloy wheels will need to be replaced due to buckling. I have been back to the site of the potholes this afternoon and taken photographs, I see that these potholes were reported as hazardous on Sunday and yet nothing has been done. They are a very serious hazard and need fixing immediately before a serious accident occurs. What is the process for claiming compensation for the damage that the pothole has caused and the costs occurred.

  • I damaged my car wheel and tyre on the pictured pothole last night, the pot hole is between Newton Road and Bedford roundabout heading towards Bedford about 10 metres before the 40mph street sign

  • Seems a lot of people including myself have hit the same pothole. I had to buy a new tyre and also want to know how to make a claim.

  • Couldn’t take picture as too dark but see there is plenty on here and it still has not been repaired!!! Hit on the drivers side and dodged the equally as bad hole further up on the passenger side. Amazed I didn’t get a puncture as the impact was that of a crash. If I had a kerb at 40mph I wouldn’t expect the impact and noise that occurred. Having both wheels checked today as just cannot believe it hasn’t caused any damage . 20/01/2021

  • I hit this pothole last night, could not see it in the dark and wet conditions. I live close by so was able to limp home. It's located on the A6 between Newton Road and Bedford Road. Extensive damage has been caused to my car. The alloy is buckled on both sides of the wheel, and a nearly brand new tyre is ruined (split side wall). Sorry I have not gone back to take a photo but others here have already posted many photos of this potentially very dangerous pothole. Needs fixing ASAP.

  • I also fell victim to this gang of potholes. Luckily tyre did not rupture, but alloy wheel is now egg-shaped rather than circular, so will need to be replaced...

Did not stop to photograph as it was rush hour traffic (even in lockdown!) so would not have been safe. Logged on to report it, but I notice several others have beaten me to it.
