The block paving throughout the village is extremely dangerous when wetbor icy. A number of people have fallen and hurt

Reported via mobile in the Slabs - Uneven / Damaged / Cracked category anonymously at 13:39, Mon 18 January 2021

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2485688.

Every time it rains or is frosty/icy the paths that are block paved are extremely slippery. This has been an issue since they were first changed. They need replacing with something safer.

  • The block paving in the centre of the village is extremely dangerous. I know of a number of people who have fallen recently and a couple resulted in an ambulance being called. The paving is so slippery when wet and icy. The path really needs re doing with something safer before someone gets seriously hurt. Many thanks

  • I am the priest in this community and the block paving is part of the route to the church from the centre of the village. I have slipped repeatedly on my own walk to the church and have serious concerns for the risk it poses to the whole community, young and old, whenever it is wet or icy. Even an early morning dew is enough to make it treacherous.
