Water should be run though the underground storm drain from the school field.

Reported via desktop in the Blocked/Damaged category by Alan Heels at 15:30, Monday 18 January 2021

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2486093.

We report on the 23 December 2020 about water which should run from the school field underground drainage pipes and met up with storm drain in front of our house. we had called out Anglia Water who tried to unblocked but they said because it was in the street underground they could do nothing and report to highways which we did. I have video footage of the water run down our path and on to the footpath. We have had a person slip over on the public foot path which froze over so we do feel it needs to be reassessed as urgent. We also had the water from the field run though the wall into our garage on the afternoon of the 23 December 2020. Has we are forecast a lot of rain over the next few days we are concerned that water will fun though into the garage. water is at present still running down our drive and onto and down the hill making it a very dangerous path in ice weather. I am not a happy that the case as been closed and would like to have it reopened and the issues addressed.

  • Looking at photos from left to right 1 water coming up from pipe because it can't flow underground because of blockage Anglian Water Jet and could not get though it blocked near frontage they believed advice us to report to highways. 2 water running over drive and onto public footpath 3 Shows water running down the footpath on Northampton Rd from 88. This is our most worrying concern in cold weather and freezes that next time someone slips they maybe badly injured the man was luck that slipped over after we had reported it and our concerns at that time.

  • Street Doctor, Please can you provide an update regarding this situation. Anglian Water have informed us that you need to come out and complete an inspection?

Posted anonymously at 10:02, Monday 8 February 2021

  • Anglian Water were contacted by the school after a highways man said it was a problem which the school need to try and sort out. Last night Anglian water came and looked and said that they could not do anything and they would inform the Headteacher at St Thomas Moore. And the Highways. I was told only highways can sort out the problem. Yes it needs inspection by highways because the blocked is under the public footpath area at the edge of my front wall or the road. Stormdrains.
