Drains from A361 to the bottom of The Green are blocked . Flood risk to house

Reported via desktop in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 14:35, Wednesday 20 January 2021

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2490873.

Ongoing problem for years. KierSWP surveyed last year and stated that there is a collapsed pipe about 50m up from our house at the bottom of The Green right of way. Byfield Parish Council have not had a copy report and advised us to contact you. Some years ago, the same issue caused £2000 damage inside the house. All the drains from the Co op on the A361 to our property seem to block quickly with any significant rainfall

  • Very short but heavy rain and hail storm approx 3pm on 28.7.21. Photos show the "river" flowing down the right of way down The Green from the A361 to Becketts Close. Photos show the state of the footpath beyond the last drain on the path along the outside wall of our garage. the first picture also shows the channel we have to make to steer water coming across the village green to direct it away from our house frontage
