The repairs previously carried out (on several occasions) do not last - something more permanent is needed

Thank you for your report regarding the road condition on Gainsborough Road. Our first priority is to keep the road network safe. We carry out regular safety inspections to address the worst defects as well as responding to reports from members of the public. It is unlikely this location will be completely resurfaced as we have other locations that would take priority. Safety is the primary focus when prioritising schemes of this nature and using the resources and funding we have in the best way. This decision is always based on surveys and inspections, data and facts regarding the location. We are currently experiencing high levels of reports and have crews out dealing with the severe weather. We will investigate and provide information on our decision within the next 10 working days. Please be assured , if no action is taken we will continue to monitor and repair any defects that pose a safety risk. Thank you for your enquiry. This location has been inspected by our team. There are currently no defects that meet our investigatory criteria for repair. These levels have been agreed with Northamptonshire County Council. We will continue to monitor the defect via our routine highway safety inspections.
