Missing sign
Reported via desktop in the Damaged / Missing / Facing Wrong Way category anonymously at 20:02, Mon 25 January 2021
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2496929.
Reference No. 2492527 The reply I received from you mention Gotch Road and I said Fitzwilliam Drive and as I stated in my original request for a new sign that it had done its job to keep the street verges nice. Having the sign keeping drivers off the verge has made it safer for the school children who use Fitzwilliam as a cut through. We have a lot of school parents parking in the street twice a day. Please will you reconsider and help keep the street safer and cleaner. If you can provide a sign I can get it put on the lamp post. Thank you.

Thank you for your further request to Northamptonshire County Council’s Street Doctor Service with regard to the installation of a “No parking on the verge” sign in Fitzwilliam Drive , Barton Seagrave. Please accept our apologies for the incorrect road name quoted in the original response. We get numerous requests for such signing throughout the county each month and it is simply not practical to install signs at locations where we have requests. Unfortunately the situation remains the same as with the original response and these signs will no longer be put up for aesthetic purposes but only where parking on the verge is considered to be causing a danger to vulnerable road users.
