  • This is extremely urgent as the pot holes have made the road impassable now and the farmer has had to put boards over 2 of the holes to make them safe.

  • It looks as though the farmer has graciously attempted a temporary repair but there are evident areas of concern all along this stretch of road with numerous smaller potholes and verge damage.

  • The verges are damaged because large tractors, other vehicles, cyclist, pedestrians, horse riders use this 'single track road'. It is not wide enough and therefore the tractors and horse boxes have to mount the verges. This road should be one way only - preferred direction would be down from White Lodge farm to Upper Lodge Farm.

  • Thank you for your enquiry, Site visited. No safety defects that meet NCC investigatory levels found at time of visit. Will continue to monitor through highway safety inspections.

  • The only reason there is no safety defects when Highways visited the area today, is because a member of the public has had to fill in some of the holes, as the area was unpassable. This means they haven't been filled in correctly/to a defined standard and the patched holes remain a danger - action required.
