Blocked drain, water flowing across road

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2501857.

This problem occurs every year when water table rises. Rusty water coming up through tarmac flowing across road. This then freezes causing danger. The quantity of water is splashed onto a stone wall by passing traffic, causing saturated stonework. The Council will be held responsible for any damage. The problem has been reported every year. Nothing gets done

  • Thank you for your enquiry the Road is a gritted route so any immediate hazard will have been taken away when they gritted this morning

  • This problem is becoming much more dangerous as the water still leaks from the broken pipe [see rust coming up and leaking across road]. It has been a reoccurring problem for several years and needs to be addressed
