Damage to fencing along a stretch of Bridleway ND6
Reported via desktop in the Passage-Obstructed/Overgrown category anonymously at 11:12, Tuesday 26 January 2021
Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2502060.
There is a short selection of repairs required with the fencing adjacent to the A14, which runs along ND6. This path is widely and regularly used by members of the public with children and pets on and off the lead. As you can see in one or 2 places the fence is down completely, the rabbit fencing needs attention along the whole of the pathway here. As you can see from the pictures the path is not that far off the highway with nothing really to prevent a vehicle should it leave the carriageway from getting on to the path I am quite surprised that there is not any protection / Armco along this stretch of highway in view of its proximity to the footpath/bridleway. Thank you

Thank you for your enquiry, I can confirm that this fence line is the landowners responsibility to maintain. Northamptonshire Highways does not own the land over which this Right of Way runs. The broken fence line is not affecting the Public Right of Way, therefore this is a private issue that you would need to take up with the owner of the land.
