(Additional comment from separate resident) There are double yellow lines along this stretch which are rarely enforced by NSL

Thank you for using our Street Doctor service. Unfortunately this type of concern is becoming more common and is in part due to an increase in car ownership, especially in built up areas. A consequence of this is that roads in some locations are not designed to cater for modern parking requirements with residents potentially having multiple vehicles and visitors. Whilst we can understand that it may not be aesthetically pleasing, it is unfortunate, but when it comes to verge damage I am sure you will understand that this is difficult to attribute to one vehicle and therefore it is normally too costly to pursue such claims. Regrettably, Northamptonshire Highways do not have the financial resources to continually reinstate grass verges and are unable to consider remedial works such as bollards, hard-standing or other preventative measures. Where you have indicated vehicles are parked fully or partly and left on the double yellow lines, please report this directly to Northamptonshire County Council’s (NCC) Parking Services Enforcement team by calling 0845 680 0153 or by email parking@northamptonshire.gov.uk The Enforcement Tem will then be able to arrange a site visit when they are next in the vicinity to ensure compliance. Vehicles parking in a manner that causes a hazard or obstruction falls under the jurisdiction of Northants Safer Communities Teams who have the power to deal with these issues. You can report instances of obstruction directly to them by calling 101. I trust this explains our position. Thank you.
