Cluster of very deep potholes in a small area near the junction of Arkwright Road and Station Road Irchester

Reported via mobile in the Potholes / Highway Condition category by Chris Summers at 04:54, Tue 9 February 2021

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2534874.

There are at least 5 deep potholes in an area 25 metres square. They are on both sides of the road and cars travelling in either direction are swerving to avoid them. Anything over 5 mph results in a bone crunching jolt and they can't be avoided unless you drive in the centre of the road. They have been there for two weeks at least and are getting worse. I have to travel over them every day and it is dangerous

  • This is making Station Road virtually impassable. This needs to be rectified immediately before the road can no longer be used

  • Station Road, Irchester, near to Arkright road (High Street end). Many potholes, worsening by the day. I was amazed I suffered no damage on Saturday when trying to avoid one I hit a bigger one. What happened to the more robust repair system that was lauded a a few years ago by the Council and the 'rapid repair equipment' shown on TV more recently?

  • The pot holes on Station Road are getting considerably worse. There is no way to avoid all of them without causing an accident. Even when slowing right down you still go over them with a bang. There are very deep and are going to cause damage to cars. Thank you

  • This is not a fix! What happen today 09/02/2021 Is simply called a botched job!! You call this a fix?

  • Why can't you fix ALL of the holes here? Not a couple and leave the rest. Do the job properly.

There are still lots of holes at the Junction area of Arkwright Road.
