Two very deep potholes require filling

Reported via desktop in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 22:03, Thursday 25 February 2021

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 16 hours, 6 minutes later. ref: 2572807.

Drove over these two tonight 25/2/21. Amazed my tires are still intact and that the axle is still attached attached to my vehicle. Pothole exit is very steep so puts a very sudden jolt into the vehicle.

  • These wrecked my front tyre and cracked the wheel. The one at the crossroad is as deep as a red bull can. As it's on the top of a hill you can't see it as you drive into Byfield. This pothole could cause a serious accident if a motorcycle hits it.

  • The front left tyre on my car was punctured tonight at approx 7.15 pm driving into Byfield from Upper Boddington. A very deep pothole by The Twistel. Not sure if there is further damage to my car until I get this check in the morning. Another driver had also damaged her car minutes before.
