Potholes in The Derry causing danger to pedestrians
Reported via desktop in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 16:51, Thursday 4 March 2021
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2587286.
Please could you arrange for resurfacing to fix the potholes in The Derry. As The Derry leads to two Public Footpaths, there is a regular amount of pedestrian traffic from walkers, as well as residents, deliveries and visitors to the cottages and other dwellings on The Derry. The uneven surface risks an injury to pedestrians who have no alternative but to walk on the road, as The Derry is a quaint lane bordered only by steep grass verges. Due to the Conservation area and the proximity of a listed building at the top of The Derry, it would be appropriate to consider the context and use sympathetic materials, such as the bound gravel often seen on the entrance to National Trust properties and the like, rather than stark black tarmac which might be somewhat jarring.
Thank you for reporting a fault. We will use the information you have provided to assess and prioritise this fault in accordance with our published response times for fault reports.
