Parking on Finedon road is causing danger to anyone exiting Finedon close plus parking on the pavement makes it impossible to use wheelchairs or buggies. Parking restrictions are needed at the junction of Finedon close/Finedon road

Thank you for using our Street Doctor service for your query regarding potential introduction of parking restrictions on Finedon Road, Burton Latimer. Double Yellow Lines would not be deemed suitable at this location however we can consider the implementation of Keep Clear markings as part of our annual reviews. As such we will add this location for consideration as part of our 21-22 Parking Restriction Review due to commence late 2021. Please note due to Covid and other factors out of our control there is a delay to the commencement and implementation of our parking restriction reviews and we are working to return to normal schedule as soon as possible. It is important to note that the review process can take from 12 – 18 months from assessment to works being implemented on the ground and that this estimation on time does not begin until the start of the review process, therefore please expect some delays. We appreciate your patience and understanding. In the meantime should you be faced with obstructive issues on the footpath or over the access to Finedon Close, please contact Northamptonshire Police Safer Communities Team on their non-emergency number of 101. The Safer Communities Team has the power to enforce if there is evidence of wilful obstruction on the highway where it is deemed not possible for a driver to safely manoeuvre, pedestrians to pass unhindered along the footway or that access to a public or private property is impeded.
