Reported via mobile in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 22:09, Monday 22 March 2021
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2627169.
On great billing way it was resurfaced September 2020 but not done properly. It’s now a 20mph zone which is impossible to keep to and will cause a accident due to impatient people who drive right behind you or over take you when it’s not safe to do so. Being near 2 school as well does not help the traffic flow in the mornings
Thank you for reporting a fault. We will use the information you have provided to assess and prioritise this fault in accordance with our published response times for fault reports.

Thank you for your inquiry. Remedial works to the carriageway on Great Billing Way are planned to be undertaken this summer. In the interim, the 20mph speed limit is mandatory and in place to ensure the safety of all road users. Northamptonshire Highways are not able to influence the behaviour of some drivers and we urge all motorists to stick to the speed limit and leave space between vehicles. We will continue to monitor the site and take any further action where required.

I too was wondering why this road has been reduced to a 20mph speed limit and came to report as I thought it might be an error? This will cause an accident being kept at this limit.
