Verge Torn up by HGVs

Reported via mobile in the Verges - Damaged by Vehicles category anonymously at 17:51, Tue 23 March 2021

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2629146.

The grassed verge directly outside of BP Petrol Station on Corby Road has been completely torn up with large trenches caused by HGVs trying to enter/exit/park outside the garage.

This is a weight restricted road and the garage had no HGV lane yet there are continued issues with HGVs entering the village.

It's clear the verge is damaged by vehicles coming in for the garage and I wonder if its possible for the fault to be rectified when convenient.

Accepting it's going to be difficult to prove, could consideration be given to some form of bollards or similar along the grass verge to prevent HGVs from using it as a parking area this would solve the continued and ongoing damage?

This has been an ongoing issue since the garage was opened, whilst I am not against the garage, I think they should be involved in repair / upkeep of the area immediately surrounding them.

Many Thanks
