Pothole at the entrance to Southfield Rd near the Vets end of Southfield Rd

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2630730.

Pothole is getting worse needs attention as it is at a junction if people try and avoid due to them not wanting to damage anything on there car. Could cause an accident. If left will get a lot worse. Been like it for about 4 weeks or longer.

  • The pothole has got much worse and now will take the size of a tyre which could cause an accident - it needs attention sooner rather than later as many people use this road

  • Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the condition of road surface in this area; specifically, you feel there is a pothole that is causing a hazard there and may be dangerous to vehicles that drive over it. We appreciate your comments and have carried out a further assessment of the issue and are pleased to confirm that the carriageway defects that meet the specifications for remedial work you have indicated in this location, have a repair scheduled to resolve them. This should hopefully be completed within four months’ time. In some cases, we are able to attend before this prospective time; however, at this time, we have no further information other than the 4 months given above. Please be assured that you will receive an update once repairs are concluded.
