Problem egressing drive way
Reported via desktop in the Verges - Damaged by Vehicles category anonymously at 19:27, Wednesday 7 April 2021
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2658677.
I am contacting you in behalf of my father who is in his 80's he has rang your team many times re problems with his drive (i have power of attorney) The council did some work some years ago to update the pathways to drives but stopped at the house next door. I have attached photos as requested after speaking to one of your team today . whats required is 1 metre of the grass see photo to be turned into tarmac to make access and egress to his drive easier. The chap who lives opposite works nights and parks a large van outside his house making access to my dads drive even harder.
Thank you for reporting a fault. We will use the information you have provided to assess and prioritise this fault in accordance with our published response times for fault reports.

Thank you for your enquiry. We are unable to provide driveways or widen them for residential usage. This responsibility falls to the home owner who can make an application to widen their driveway with our authorisation. There is a charge for the service, please see the following link if you would like to make an application; https://www.northamptonshire.gov.uk/ councilservices/ northamptonshire-highways/ parking/ Pages/ apply-for-a-dropped-kerb.aspx In addition, the other option is to apply for a white access line which delineates the area to keep clear, for further information please use the following link;https://www.northamptonshire.gov.uk/ councilservices/ northamptonshire-highways/ parking/ Pages/ obstruction-of-driveways.aspx
