Overarching main branches from dead trees
Reported via desktop in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 12:28, Thu 22 April 2021
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2685513.
I have been advised to raise this concern here in order for someone to assess the severity of this risk. There are many well established trees of which many appear dead with substantial branches overarching the A6003 and there is a potential risk of a serious accident if one of these brakes off and falls onto the road below. These trees are on the Rockingham Castle Estate side of the road and whilst may be the responsibility of the estate, the risk is to all and any traffic who uses this busy road. A simple inspection from a competent person will confirm, or otherwise that an appropriate risk assessment needs to be undertaken and mitigation of any risks implemented. It is I fear an accident waiting to happen.
