Flooding to rear garden of 58 Kensington Close

Reported via desktop in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 11:34, Fri 23 April 2021

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2687271.

I have received a report from the occupier of 58 Kensington Close concerning ongoing flooding in their rear garden. It is believed that the route of the underground drain from the ditch further up follows this footpath and may have become damaged by vegetation. The footpath is very cracked at several points and there are mature trees in the vicinity which may also which also supports this as being the root of the problem.

  • The flooding on the footpath between Maples Close and Kensington Close has worsened as a result of the heavy rain. Is it possible the repositioned fence shown to the left of the photograph on land which was previously a 6ft wide natural hedgerow could have caused damage to the culvert beneath?
