Pothole on hillside road

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2706988.

Double decker buses pass countless times daily and now working from home have noticed House vibrates when buses lorries etc. Come past and more so when they hit the pothole. Showing cracks in ceilings which were not there before and not sure who to report it to.

  • Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the condition of the road surface in this area; specifically, that you feel the pothole causes vibration to your property, particularly when buses pass by. We have carried out an assessment of the issue and are pleased to confirm that the potholes that meet the specifications for remedial work you have indicated in this location, already has a repair scheduled to resolve them. This should hopefully be completed within five months’ time. Please be assured that you will receive an update once repairs are concluded.

  • This pothole was reported on the 4th of May and still nothing has been done? I didn't make the initial report but the potholes are deep

  • Thank you for your further response. Whilst we appreciate and sympathise with your comments, the current timeframe we have is that work is to be completed within five months of the 6th of May. In some cases, we are able to attend before this prospective time; however, at this time, we have no further information other than the timeframe given above. Please be assured that you will receive an update once repairs are concluded.
