  • Both alleyway and footpath are in passable particularly when vehicles park next to it too. If this is the responsibility of the home-owner please request they manage the over growth, if not - please arrange cutting ASAP!

  • Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the condition of the vegetation on the footpath between St Crispin Way and Nichols Way. We understand that you feel that the current state of the vegetation is an obstruction for pedestrians at this location. Whilst we appreciate your comments, the location of the vegetation you have identified are not on the adopted highway and is within someone’s private residence. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the private landowner to maintain and is outside Northamptonshire Highways’ control. Nevertheless, we have written to the resident requesting that their hedge is cut back from the footway. A letter was sent out on 5th July to residents here so we will re-inspect from 19th July to see if it has been cleared back, if not we will pass over to the Regulations team to commence enforcement action.
