The local Angling Club (Wellingborough District and Nene Angling Club) have erected gates to prevent access to Right of Way UL11 on Irthlingborough (1st Photo). I would suggest this has been done to prevent illegal travellers entering the River Nene Meadows. Understandable. The solution would be to place a small gate or stile next go the main gate to allow walkers through. The second and third photos are taken from the opposite side with a small gate clearly shown.

  • Thank you for your enquiry, we are aware of this issue. I can confirm that there is a registered anomaly along this route. The legal line of this footpath, UL11 currently passes through 2 bodies of water. This route needs to be officially diverted before we would consider taking action to open access. We will continue to monitor this matter and liaise with the Definitive Map Team in regards to the line of the path.
