(public footpaths ug1 (part) & ug2 (part) – parish of raunds) (temporary closure) order 2019. no diversion notices

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction (Not Vegetation) category by Ian Richardson at 10:17, Monday 10 May 2021

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2716107.

At the corner of Brick Kiln Road and North Street, Raunds, where footpaths UG1 and UG2 join the road, there is no diversion sign or map - POINT A on the diversion notice. There is a notice at POINT E, but arriving from North Street & wishing to go North on UG2 this sign can't be seen. There appear to be no other signs at POINTS F & C. In addition, the field path between points F & C, and the continuation North on UG2 has been ploughed & not reinstated. The next field North has also been ploughed & not reinstated. Generally, the operation of this order, and the fencing off of the diversion through the building site is shambolic to say the least, and needs attention.
