Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2719244.
The gully drains need emptying , the water flows right past as there are three full gulleys, 2 in road and one in kerb up mears ashby rd.

Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the condition of the gully drains on Mears Ashby Road. We note with regret, that you feel they may be blocked. We have carried out an assessment of the problem and are pleased to confirm that the problem you have indicated in this location, has a work order to clean and test the gully. This should hopefully be completed within a months’ time. Please be assured that you will receive an update once repairs are completed.

Thank you for taking this seriously and acting promptly. Could you change the schedule so that these are emptied regularly ( perhaps monthly) and a report done on how full each time. That way no further survey needed and the problem will go away. The schedule can then be adjusted to as little as is needed ( perhaps 2 monthly with extra for thunderstorms in August etc) You probably know all this anyway but the system doesn’t allow it. If that’s the case with the new unitary councils it’s time to change the system.
