Drain Needed on Bickerstaff Road, Towcester in front of 97

Reported via desktop in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 15:55, Thursday 13 May 2021

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2724200.

Rain run off from gardens from house across from 97 Bickerstaff road runs onto the road and floods it. There is no street drain or gulley to cope with or direct this stream of water. It has been looked at before but has not been addressed and the carriageway gets flooded every time it rains. If the rain is a lot it comes over the path and caused the mud to block the other drains. This needs to be properly assessed and a resolution found. The street is breaking down, developing pot holes due to the water on it.

  • Hi I notice this was checked again today… this was a massive issue yesterday and was flooding yesterday with the heavey rain… when checking this has to be done when it’s wet, it’s not an issue today because it’s dry. My previous attached pictures shows the issue.

    All the Best Michael
