Blocked drain causing flooding

Reported via desktop in the Blocked - flooding private property category anonymously at 10:56, Friday 14 May 2021

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2725604.

Blocked drain causing flooding into private property. The water has drained off at the moment, due to our soakaway. But it only has a certain water volume limit. In previous weeks and last night its flooded up to the front door and water has gotten into the garage which I have had to sweep away. I am now getting some sandbags.

The issue has not been resolved. On Monday 24 May we had significant and worrying flooding caused by overflowing surface water drains. This occurred at various properties on the road. If the surface water drainage is not resolved we will suffer water ingress into our property. Our garage had already flooded. Neighbours at 106 have informed us this us a persistent issue in bad weather and has not even resolved by highways despite many reports.

This issue has not been resolved. The storm drains were not serviced as the homeowner was promised. It is clear that the drains are not sufficient on the road or are compromised leading to all surface water backing up to my property. The property is about to imminently flood again due to the heavy rain. Please can this issue be treated as urgent!
