This problem was reported back in March 2021 and the only visible work done was to reset and re-tarmac the area surrounding the drain cover. It as was also reported at the time that it was suspected that the ACTUAL DRAIN PIPE INTO THE CULVERT was also blocked causing the rain water to back-up until it erupts around the drain cover. No-one who reported the problem last time saw any work to clear the actual pipe into the culvert. If that pipe is in fact clear then the drain cover is simply in the wrong position and will continue to erupt with heavy rain as the water pressure backs up. It is currently a serious trip hazard as a strip of tarmac has lifted at the edge and could easily cause a trip.

After today's heavy rain, the recent repair has lifted significantly. It is pointless repeatedly repairing the tarmac without dealing with the blocked drain
