Lots of potholes along Hayes Road

Reported via mobile in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 23:10, Saturday 15 May 2021

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2728446.

There are a lot of potholes, humps and very worn tarmac on Hayes Road from Glebe Road down to the bottom of the village. This is causing considerable damage to my tyres and wheels on my car. I also suffer with back pain and the uneven road jars and causes pain to my back! Unfortunately I have no other way of getting to my house but this road otherwise I would use it. I pay my council tax and my car tax so that the roads are maintained to a road worthy standard but unfortunately Hayes Road isn't of that standard and things are getting worse everyday.

  • This spot on Hayes road is terrible. We’ve put up with it for years. Something has to be done about the road surface.

  • This road is getting worse and worse. Why do we pay our car and council tax? A few years ago I had a coil spring break due to a pothole and it cost me £270. This will happen to people's cars if this isn't fixed!,

  • This is a joke now, it's becoming unbearable driving up and down the road and I'm extremely worried about doing damage to my car which I cannot afford to have repaired if something happens!
