Two blocked drains opposite each other junction of Cardigan road and Berwick road this is an ongoing problem

Reported via desktop in the Blocked/Damaged category by Colin Gregory at 12:30, Saturday 22 May 2021

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2742172.

Further to your report to state that this problem is now fixed I have attached 2 photographs to show you that they are far from fixed. Photographs timed at 20.45 on 21/5/2021, following the first quantity of rain falling since you reported them fixed. As a tax payer I would like to see the council expenditures on this problem, to date there have been three or four attempts including a separate camera inspection, from my previous experiences I know that these services do not come cheap. It is obvious that there is no follow up to establish that you are getting value for your/our money (it’s easy to spend other people’s money). Kindest Regards Colin Gregory

  • Further to your notification dated 10th August whereby you stated this issue has now been fixed, I am informing you that this is not the case. First quantity of rain to fall to test these drains came on Saturday 2nd October and they failed miserably both drains were overflowing. Surely there must be competent people to fix this problem, this will be the fifth attempt on fixing this problem, has the council unlimited funds to keep wasting on incompetent companies.
