Footpath from Ecton towards Earls Barton old A4500
Reported via desktop in the Obstruction (Not Vegetation) category by Shirley Wong at 10:30, Thu 3 June 2021
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2765558.
The footpath from Ecton towards Earls Barton is very overgrown and vegetation needs trimming back. Two complaints we received this week were "a call today from a man who lives in the Lodge House on the A4500. He said the overgrown verges are obscuring his view when he tries to leave his house. I have noticed the verges are very overgrown, the path must be nearly impassable" I want to bring to your attention the state of the footpath between Ecton and Earls Barton… mainly between Ecton Village and up to Ecton Estate (Alderwoods)
The footpath is almost inaccessible in places as the vegetation is overgrown…. I use this route daily as I work in Earls Barton and last week I stumbled and fell due to the amount of overgrowth in this area, I cut myself quite badly and was stung numerous times by the nettles there.
