Reported via desktop in the Weeds category anonymously at 11:01, Monday 7 June 2021
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2773696.
Irthlingborough NN9, along the A6 between Nene Park & Finedon - there are really tall overgrown weeds along the pathway that runs along the A6. When pulling out of the junctions along that stretch (in particular Addington Road) it is difficult to see cars coming due to the weeds being so tall & bushy. Can the council organise for these to be cut down please? Also, along Addington Road when going up the hill, there is a big tree that hangs down & again it's difficult to see oncoming cars & is getting dangerous. Can the council trim this back at all?

Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the condition of the vegetation on the A6; specifically that you feel the vegetation is overgrown and restricts visibility of the road. We appreciate your concerns and can confirm that the verges in this area are programmed to be cut, in the near future, under our maintenance programme. With regards to tree and hedge growth, this will most likely be in October, as there are currently birds nesting in the vegetation there. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
